A trip to Provence and Camargue For a trip a few days the French region of Provence lends itself very much. Perched villages, quiet town, festivals, markets, a light that enchants, rustic and tasty food, Provence has everything to get us through some beautiful day without even the shadow of a negative thought.

Aix en Provence . A city that can be visited with Cezanne, or at least under the guidance

Tarascon (in Italian Tarascon ). Here there is more than a military castle of 1400, very well preserved, and the church of Santa Marta to visit. The first is open from 10 to 18.30 in the spring / summer and up to 17 in fall / winter and paying a business visit of about EUR 6. Sometimes you find representations in medieval style, especially interesting for children.

Avignon. Leave your car outside the walls in the free parking and enter the cultural and historical Avignon. Camargue.
If you think people usually think of the Camargue bulls, horses, flamingos and swamps, and in fact once you are bulls, horses, flamingos (and many other birds) and wetlands!

Saintes Maries de la Mer . That of the Sante Marie came here from the Holy Land is a very typical seaside town with many restaurants close to each other, all pretty similar to be honest, attractive shops, cobbled streets, and everything you want from a country of this type . A perfect base for exploring the region, but probably too busy in summer.
General Notes. Here is very very rude to walk into a store, bar, restaurant etc.. etc.. without saying, surely you do already in Italy, but I as I have stated Liguria (do you remember the sketch

Many merchants
speak Italian, but as in any other place, squash a few words in the local language will not hurt.
If you want to try the Bouillabaisse
, find a good restaurant. Because certainly in a restaurant so-so, maybe the pro tourists, you will find four small fish floats and will not be a good experience. But then do not say that you do not like the bouillabaisse!
rice and salt certainly deserve to be purchased.
