Salt & Ferrer a memory pittogastronomico

Saturday, October 24, at 17:00 at ' Hall of the Palazzo Comunale di Savona the event will be held " Salt & Ferrer, remember pittogastronomico ," which comes from the desire to remember two great men Savona. It has therefore resulted in an initiative that includes several activities. Firstly Marco Sabatelli was involved in the reissue of the beautiful book " Pesto and Buridda " bible of authentic local cuisine filled from the popular chef.

In the '60s Ferrer was the first chef host on television to talk about - see the case - of Ligurian cuisine. If the word "pesto" is an Italian entered now in 16 languages \u200b\u200baround the world (Luke Serianni), a great deal of credit is also due to our great Ferrer, better known in foreign countries than in Italy.

The Buoyancy Of Helium-filled Balloons

Poll TripAdvisor about food on the go

You can eat well while traveling?

The answer is yes according to a survey launched from TripAdvisor travelers to discover their preferences and their opinions.

The Italian city Bologna is elected queen of taste, followed by Florence and Naples. In Europe there are the surprises: Paris steals the scepter in Rome and became the capital of the international pleasures of the table. The restaurants of Milan and Venice are the most expensive in Italy, while in Europe are Paris and London to make the accounts more salty.

42% of Italians said travelers also want to experiment with new flavors, although the pizza and traditional Italian dishes are always the most preferred. Kangaroo meat, shark fins and snakes are the dishes that most excite the curiosity of travelers.

Merilyn Sakova Coming

Magyar outside

Any advice for choosing the restaurant in a place that does not know well.
  1. Read the guide! Trivial, right? Yet many people insist on ignoring the guides, tips etc. magazines. However, if before you leave comb through forums, blogs, guides (in fact) and the like can make more informed choices
  2. Better lunch and dinner, this goes against the tribe of sandwiches for lunch but usually spends far less on a full menu
  3. Better a glass of wine than a bottle, though, rightly want to taste the local wines, you should opt for glass: there is no risk of overdoing it and costs less
  4. Forget dessert, very average restaurants often have only dessert made that cost a lot and are not up to expectations

Paris Kennedy Watch Online

10 Things every traveler should make space

am reading Real Simple and I want to share these interesting points on the journey described by Pico Iyer , novelist.

  • Enjoy every moment of the first impression you visit a new place, very often the journey is affected from this
  • embrace the prospect of being a tourist, many people prefer to pose as travelers, but what's wrong to know what makes a city a unique city? The tour of a few hours to visit a place can be very instructive, as well as going to the local and a tourist guide negoziindicati
  • devoured magazines from hotels, but also by air, and so on. The author has discovered that you can walk with lions in Mauritius and that there is in Baltimore American Visionary Art Museum
  • Look what they ask you to bring your friends, maybe an unusual request takes you places you never considered
  • Go to a performance or a sporting event, you do not need to know the language to go see a football match in Rio or the work in Beijing and will be an memorable
  • Go to a library, you'll see a lot of the interests of local
  • Take a bus ride from start to stop, you understand a lot about a city, its inhabitants and their commitments in bus
  • Read or at least flip through the newspapers , will tell much of the place where you are and more in different newspapers are given more free activities / interesting / worthy
  • Go to McDonald ............. Mhmmmmm! I do not know if they both agree, it is true that you can see how Western culture is expressed by McD reworked but ... I confess my version of this point. I always try to eat at least once a pasta or pizza, there are everywhere and you can find truly amazing and very good rework (from the mac and cheese pasta salad with apples) and it is a relief to know that Pizza Hut has not arrived everywhere!
  • Lose (in a good way!)

How Does It Cost For A Personal Trainer At Ballys

trip in Provence: The Luberon and a few hours between the fields of Vaucluse

You know the film A Good Year with Russell Crowe , here, is set in the Luberon. The Natural Park of Provence that is sweeping the British for the spectacular nature, the thousand small towns, traditional cuisine and perhaps also for the continuous chirping of cicadas.

Apt. We chose because
Apt convenient base for getting around the region, however, proved to be a pretty town with a wonderful market on Saturday morning.
idea to eat at The Apt thym you voila. Decidedly fusion menu, with a shot allla Provençal tradition and an ethnic, and always at least one vegetarian dish. Interesting decor, and full of ideas such as you would have thought that the old singer could not be repaired to become a pretty blue table? * Appetizer was also good with white wine and thyme.
59 Place St Martin
84400 Apt

* The drink is generally not as we know it, but rather a glass with two olives, or a pretzel or anything.

Oppède le Vieux
wonderful surprise! A very very small country and perched atop a hill, surrounded by lush vegetation, forests and rock formations, picturesque countryside. For visitors leave your car in the beginning of the village and up the hill following the path botanist. The village is charming, mostly consisting of old houses restored and definitely worth visiting the church of the 12th century and the ruins of the castle. The peaceful atmosphere has attracted many artists, so you will also find interesting shops.
idea to eat, The Echauguette . Could not find the foot of the hill to the castle. A charming restaurant with outdoor seating and other simple dishes and plentiful, that they forget to put it mildly stormy wind from which it is overwhelmed. Maybe because I love very much ;-) but their garlic pesto I liked it a lot!

Bonnieux
The church tower dominates the valley around Bonnieux and its square is dominated by the countryside of the Luberon. And 'one of the most picturesque villages in the region, so be prepared to climb down to the crooked streets. The country is full of stone and striking harmony of colors of its houses and streets, architecture simple and elegant, the atmosphere quiet and powerful at the same time zone. It is not difficult to understand why he was chosen as a residence by several bishops!

Roussillon.

Trail ochres, it would be nice to see at dawn or dusk, but note that in these times, the trail is closed because it opens at 9 am and closes at least 18 in the summer, but it is always best to check. The red Roussillon made amends, however, with shops, restaurants and picturesque streets really mooooooolto!

Saint Saturnin lès Apt
The most interesting part of the country, in addition to a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, the ruins are the portals of the palaces. One of the other stranger.
The streets of lavender
.
Make a gift to return to Italy do not come back immediately on the highway, but make yourself at home, find a cruise speed of lavender fields and enjoy the most amazing you can imagine. Passing by the Alpes de Haute Provence to the Verdon Gorges, including a photo stop and admire the other one, it is appropriate to say, very different landscapes. From the rolling hills of yellow and blue, the roads that climb above the Verdon, it seems highly appreciated by the bikers.

warnings.

delicious soaps They are everywhere, but if you intend to use them as such, and not smelling like laundry to say, better to read the incidence (the ingredients) and find that the soap you are buying is not true and that the soap lavender lavender have only the synthetic perfume! If you can help Oppede le Vieux in the restaurant / shop where we had lunch I found Marius Fabre soaps , all green dots (if you read the biodizionario know what I mean).

Lavender is the typical purchase, the better the honey, delicious jams (figs and lavender flowers is a delight!), The perfect dried bunches, cute bags and useful essential oils of lavender and a sink (which constitutes 98% of production in reality).

A trip to Provence and Camargue

For a trip a few days the French region of Provence lends itself very much. Perched villages, quiet town, festivals, markets, a light that enchants, rustic and tasty food, Provence has everything to get us through some beautiful day without even the shadow of a negative thought.

The first time I was in this region, in broad terms, I've been around I'm talking about in this post, based in Saintes Maries de la Mer

Aix en Provence . A city that can be visited with Cezanne, or at least under the guidance of his paintings, including a walk in the course Mirabeau, a bit of shopping in stores, a visit to the cathedral of San Salvador (Saint-Sauveur ).

www.aixenprovencetourism.com

Tarascon (in Italian Tarascon ). Here there is more than a military castle of 1400, very well preserved, and the church of Santa Marta to visit. The first is open from 10 to 18.30 in the spring / summer and up to 17 in fall / winter and paying a business visit of about EUR 6. Sometimes you find representations in medieval style, especially interesting for children.

www.tarascon.org

Bridge Gard. If you want to see up close how a Roman aqueduct, this is the right place. It is close Remoulins, in a natural environment perfect for an outing and a picnic!

Avignon. Leave your car outside the walls in the free parking and enter the cultural and historical Avignon. In addition to the impressive and worth visiting with the audio guide, Palace of the Popes, in fact the city is rich in culture at every turn. You can choose from a dozen different museums, palaces, churches, and you may want to perdesi between the squares. No one can miss to take a look at the Pont Saint-Benezet, a great era foudraiser according to the history of the bridge itself, making the song reminded learned a lesson in French school. Just to assist you, here are the words . The
theater festival in July and should be an incredible experience.

Camargue.
If you think people usually think of the Camargue bulls, horses, flamingos and swamps, and in fact once you are bulls, horses, flamingos (and many other birds) and wetlands!

Arles. Secure Site by UNESCO is a perfect fit for the Roman town a medieval city, with monuments dating from the first century BC A pleasant place with a wonderful market on Saturdays. It is just really negative: the bullfight.

Aigues Mortes. Small country completely fortified, very charming. But dispassionate counsel tried to visit in the early morning, mid-morning because I have no idea that boast both assaulted by lots of tourists, resulting in significant difficulties in the park and enjoy the quiet of the place.

hwww.ot-aiguesmortes.fr

Saline Giraud . You can come in without seeing the Camargue salt marshes and salt to stock? Sure! But it's a real shame! The visit to the salt lasts about an hour and is very interesting, especially if accompanied by purchase of the flower of salt collected here.

Bird Park de Pont de Gau . Apart from the aviaries at a habitat that they could not live free for several reasons, but they are structured like the zoo, and then certainly do not impress, the park is very interesting. Especially for longer journeys and the sight of so many flamingos that are left still camera from the points of observation.

www.parcornithologique.com

Saintes Maries de la Mer . That of the Sante Marie came here from the Holy Land is a very typical seaside town with many restaurants close to each other, all pretty similar to be honest, attractive shops, cobbled streets, and everything you want from a country of this type . A perfect base for exploring the region, but probably too busy in summer.

General Notes.

Here is very very rude to walk into a store, bar, restaurant etc.. etc.. without saying, surely you do already in Italy, but I as I have stated Liguria (do you remember the sketch a different holiday?)
Many merchants
speak Italian, but as in any other place, squash a few words in the local language will not hurt.

If you want to try the Bouillabaisse , find a good restaurant. Because certainly in a restaurant so-so, maybe the pro tourists, you will find four small fish floats and will not be a good experience. But then do not say that you do not like the bouillabaisse!

rice and salt certainly deserve to be purchased.

Vinissage - organic and biodynamic wine to Asti

Vinissage is a show dedicated to natural wines (there will be producers from all over Italy), which Asti held on 16 and 17 May. A two days to try organic and biodynamic wines, listen to good music, make wise purchases and maybe know more about exactly what it means ;-) biodynamic or at least to bring back to memory what he had said on the matter during a French class years ago, a fellow student who was studying just to learn the language before an internship at a winery Biodynamic French.

Restaurants in Provence

For the series ............ Ah! I had known it before! The site of the Ganti Guide tells you how much good can be found in Provence and the Riviera, I believe there is much more to prove because the little that I experienced in the recent holiday at least the Provencal cuisine is really nice, but can be a good beginning to a deeper exploration of food and wine! ;-)

Here are tips for visiting San Francisco by Melissa Davis, Ruby Press to blog Glamour USA.

cheap but nice Hotel

Stanyan Park Hotel Victorian house situated on the Golden Gate Park.

Hotel des Arts, to have an art gallery at your eye, the rooms are designed by different artists (around $ 130)

Department stores

Some of bouqtique most interesting are located in the district of Marina / Cow, to Chestnut Street and around Union Street

My Roommate's Closet is un'iteressante shop with a fine assortment of apparel and accessories discounted. In Polk Street (Russian Hill), you can instead find shops of all kinds from Swallowtail (art, furniture, decorations) to Teashi (if you want to relax with a nice pedicure in a chair for a day shopping in the subject) to Spring (for environmentally friendly products for the home).

North Beach, the old Italian neighborhood, is ideal for walking browsing in antique shops (such as Air ). Pacific Heights, Fillmore Street in particular, has a great variety of shops and alternative to the chains as Shabby Chic and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Hayes Valley according to Melissa Davis is the best for the trendy, for the many bouqtique clothing (such as Dish and Modern Appealing Clothing MAC) and many interesting shops, such as Miette , various candy store.

A Mission deserve a break: Candy Store (the ideal to buy jewelry and accessories from local designers), Bell Jar (furnishings and decorations) and Sunhee (clothing).

For Haight

you can indulge in buying vintage ( Squad )

Restaurants delicious

Crown & crumpet, a British-style tea room in Ghirardelli Square

Zuni Cafe almost always in the list of the best restaurants in San Francisco

Parma Italian restaurant in the Marina District

Eliza's for Chinese food

The Ferry Market Building market farmers, restaurant and food store Typical all together. Try it for tacos and onion rings Taylor's Refresher

Fun Activities

The Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Faire . The first Sunday of the month, a short drive from SF, this market is held.

Alcatraz. It will also be the ultimate tourist destination, but remains un'esperineza frightening and unforgettable (even on the interesting audio guide)

Golden Gate Park. Green, museums + the recently restored Conservatory of Flowers and the Japanese tea garden.

Any advice final

San Francisco is pretty cool all year round, weather changes significantly even from one neighborhood to another, so layered clothing is necessary.

never been to Los Angeles? Then maybe it will be useful advice Smitten, Glamour Blog USA, Los Angeles applied directly to a doc Emily Schuman, blogger cute Cupcakes and Cashmere .

First of all, to run it properly you need to rent a car and have a map of the city, then better not bite the tour in search of actors / actresses and company will be much easier to meet someone famous who are not looking casually.

continue with the choice of hotel, Emily I recommend two:

Ambrose Hotel. Small boutique hotel, near the beach in Santa Monica architecture-style Zen and ecology. Not particularly cheap, however, a double room costs about 190 €.

Hotel Angeleno. A few minutes from Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the Getty Center, with a beautiful view. From $ 199 to $ 210 or so.

Let's advice to buy ;-)

Planet Blue in Beverly Hills for clothing, eclectic jewelry and sandals.

HD Buttercup, giant warehouse for the home where you can find the cushions from the frame at all furnishings. A kind of Ikea chic. Emily recommends

then refresh in these two restaurants:

Urth Cafe especially the quesadilla and the bread pudding. According to the author the wait is offset by the delicious dishes.

Izak-Ya that is the best sushi in LA at relatively reasonable prices.

satisfied basic needs, sleep-eat-shop, you can go a picnic by the parties Griffith Observatory, one of the largest public observatories in the world right on Mount Hollywood. The perfect place to spend some time relaxing in the global export and looking at the planets through the telescope Zeiss. Or, on Sundays between 8 am and 6 pm you can browse the city's most interesting market vintage, Melrose Trading Post.

Pokemon Shiny Gold Gpsphone Cheats

Go see a rugby match at Twickenham

The Twickenham rugby stadium well as an undisputed temple of the sport is a huge pub, an arena, a museum, and certainly much more. Go see a game in such a place is an experience that I feel that I recommend to those who do not follow rugby, perhaps before documenting a minimum on the rules of the sport even just to enjoy the game. This is because the thrill of being in opposing fans to drink, eat and sing in the most friendly you can imagine, is great and is truly an experience that almost everyone can appreciate.

But we move on to some practical advice a minimum ...

Where is Twickenham? Obviously, near London! Since I'm still a bit 'single issue, but then return, eh ;-) He can be reached by train, bus or subway + bus (281, 267 and H22).

How to reach the stadium? So .... In the end I think the easiest (which we did not, then it may be that a linear system to reach does not exist at all) and take the train from Twickenham to London Waterloo and Reading stations, waiting for the crowd with scarves, caps, etc.. and follow it, but aware that you may end up in a pub and forget about the game. Or you can take the London Underground from London to Richmond (which otherwise is also a very nice area to visit, with many shops, pubs and beautiful green spaces) and in front of the station take the bus (eg H22) knowing that the bus stop for reach the stage can happen to pass close to the hardware store, under the railway bridge, follow a road apparently closed, passing over the railway bridge, follow a path close to the pitch where children play (rugby before going to watch the game course), pass by the park and see Tom Palmer (only if this does not play and you're lucky) to finally reach the goal. The site also claims that the stadium bus R68, R70, 290 and 490 leading to the center of the town where just a walk of 10-15 minutes to reach the stadium.

how to buy tickets? For a normal game you do not trust agencies that want to sell tickets from € 200 unless it is included travel and / or living room, because tickets can be found directly on sites of the teams you want to see or TicketMaster (us see Wasps - Heineken Cup Leinster we spent about £ 48 per ticket for seats corresponding to our distinct and stage the view is great, needless to say!)

what to do once you arrive? Once entered, that after taking the tickets, bought something at the store and saw the players arrive by bus at the entrance, there are three things to do absolutely:

  • Bersi one (or two o. .. hey you know you are on ...) nice beer (sorry, but no small !) taken from one of the many kiosks
  • eating a sausage (aka hot dogs) large sprinkled with ketchup *
  • Enjoy the show and not worry if your neighbors will let you put up every 5 minutes to go to stock up on beer or other
* if you do not want the hot dog or you are a vegetarian do not worry, from soups and pastries you will still trash your dose of food to share.
